Fall Events in Aldergrove & Langley 2026

Fall is one of the best times of year to be in Aldergrove. The farms are busy, the leaves are turning, and there's plenty to do from Thanksgiving weekend right through Halloween night (and let's be honest, the pumpkin patches alone are worth the trip).

Here's our roundup of local fall events in and around Aldergrove for 2026, from pumpkin patches and farm days to spooky tours and family Halloween fun.

Halloween Events

  • Where: Downtown Aldergrove, along Fraser Highway between 264 St and 273 St

  • Cost: Free | Hosted by the Aldergrove Business Association

One of our favourite local traditions! Kids trick-or-treat their way through downtown Aldergrove, stopping at participating businesses marked with posters and orange balloons. In past years more than 40 businesses joined in, handing out everything from full-size chocolate bars to toys and Pokémon cards.

Grave Tales at Fort Langley →

  • When: Oct 16–31

  • Where: Fort Langley National Historic Site and Fort Langley Village

Parks Canada storytellers lead spooky evening tours after dark. Groups are small (20–25 people) and tickets sell out fast, so book ahead on the Grave Tales 2026 page →.

The Township's Halloween week has something for every age: spooky swims, Halloween night rides, a costume skate and a magic potion workshop. Most activities need registration and spots are limited, so sign up early on the Township of Langley Halloween page →.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving Monday is October 12, and the long weekend kicks off with one of the biggest fall traditions in the Fraser Valley.

Fort Langley Cranberry Festival →

  • When: Saturday, Oct 10 | 10 AM–4 PM (Lions Club pancake breakfast from 8 AM)

  • Where: Glover Road, downtown Fort Langley

  • Cost: Free admission

The 31st annual festival fills the village with more than 100 vendors, 15+ food trucks and live entertainment in the park. There's a cranberry stomp and scarecrow showcase at Fort Langley National Historic Site, cranberry races in Bedford Channel, and fresh cranberries for sale (so you're set for Thanksgiving dinner). Last year's festival drew about 35,000 people, so arrive early. Glover Road is closed to traffic from 6 AM to 6 PM.

It's also a great weekend to pick up local produce and pies at the farm markets above before the big dinner.

Get Outside for the Fall Colours

You don't need an event to enjoy fall here. Aldergrove Regional Park → is right on our doorstep, and the easy Pepin Brook Trail → winds through the forest along the creek, at its best when the leaves turn. Bring boots, because October trails get muddy.

Our family's favourite is Philip Jackman Park →, Aldergrove's wetland park. A flat, easy loop of about 3 km circles 40 hectares of wetland, with viewing platforms along the way. It's perfect for little legs, a dog walk or some birdwatching, and it's a beautiful spot for a crisp fall stroll.
